Welcome to the The Broads Society Members’ Internet Forum.

Broadland is a unique and in some ways, threatened, area. Your Committee hopes that, within this on-line Forum, we will all contribute to serious debate about these threats and the potential solutions whilst providing, over time, a repository of useful information as an adjunct to the more formal main website.  It follows that material posted should be Broads related.

To contribute to this Forum you must be a Member of the Broads Society.  If you are not already a Broads Society Member, why not join?  Please apply to the Society’s Administrator whose address may be found on the Contacts page opposite.

We request users to Register with their own names, including surnames, as their "username" in the format – Joe Public.  Failure to do so will result in removal of the user.

Please note that anyone not using a valid email address will be removed from the Forum.

How do I join the Forum?

In order for you to Register as a Broads Society Forum user, you will need:-

* your Broads Society Membership Number

* your Post Code

* your email address

to identify you uniquely from other would be users.  Please have these details ready if you wish to register.  Please put a space between the two parts of your postcode.  (Joint members please note that both of you may join the Forum – the Forum software will guide you through the process.)

If you do not know your membership number, please email bswebforum@rbaguley.plus.com and we will supply it (please give your full name and postcode so that we may confirm your membership).

(Newly joined Society Members – please note that you may have to wait until the next, monthly, update of the membership database before your details are added to the list used here thus allowing you to Register.)

"I’m none too sure about this, don’t you have a step by step guide?"  Yes, we do and you may find it by downloading the User Guide (this is a Microsoft Word document).

"OK, I’m ready, how do I start my Registration?"  To access the Forum to Register, click here .

That’s all very well but I still cannot Register!  If you have any difficulty, please email our Forum Manager at bswebforum@rbaguley.plus.com .

Returning to the Broads Society Members’ Forum after Registration

Please note that, once you have registered to use the Broads Society Forum, you should bookmark the Forum homepage itself and just enter your details when asked each time you return.  Remember also to "logout" after each session!  Alternatively, you may return to the Forum via the main website’s Member’s Forum button which will return you to this page, click "Here" at the top of this page and enter your username & password when invited.

Your Forum "Profile"

We strongly recommend that, after registering, you edit your "Profile", in particular the email format to be used by others wishing to contact you outside the Forum.  If you do not wish others to see your email address, in the Profile menu under Privacy, uncheck "Display your email address" and if you wish others to be able to contact you but not see your address, check "Hide your email address but allow form email" (the third option being to disallow ex-Forum contact altogether).  Hint – change the time setting in "Essentials" to -2 hours so that your Forum displays the right time – you may have to change this after UK daylight saving (BST).
